Hyperbaric oxygen chamber, a treatment device for various hypoxia disorders, is a closed cylinder that inputs pure oxygen or purified compressed air through pipelines and control systems. Doctors outside the cabin can communicate with patients through observation windows and intercoms, and the large oxygen chamber usually has 10-20 seats.
Hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy involves inhaling high pressure (2-3 atmospheres) and high concentration oxygen into a closed pressurization device, causing it to dissolve in large amounts in the blood and tissues, thereby increasing blood oxygen tension, increasing blood oxygen content, constricting blood vessels, and accelerating collateral circulation formation to reduce intracranial pressure, alleviate cerebral edema, correct lactic acidosis or accumulation of brain metabolites caused by extensive cerebral ischemia, improve cerebral hypoxia, promote wakefulness response, and restore neurological function.
Principle of hyperbaric oxygen chamber:
• The high-pressure oxygen chamber is sealed and pressure resistant. By injecting high-pressure oxygen or high-pressure air into the chamber, a high-pressure environment is formed inside. Patients receive oxygen therapy inside the chamber, providing effective and sufficient oxygen to the hypoxic body, increasing oxygen storage in tissues, inhibiting bacterial growth, and enhancing the efficacy of radiotherapy and chemotherapy for malignant tumors.
• Under hyperbaric oxygen, it can increase oxygen supply to damaged cells around the hematoma (ischemic penumbra), accelerating the recovery of damaged cells.
• Hyperbaric oxygen can accelerate the clearance of hematoma, promote the regeneration of collagen fibers and capillaries, and accelerate the repair of lesions.
• Under hyperbaric oxygen, the blood flow of the vertebral basilar artery can be increased, which can improve the oxygen partial pressure of the reticular activating system and brainstem, accelerate the recovery of consciousness, and maintain normal life function activities.
•Pure oxygen chamber: pressurized with pure oxygen, and after stabilizing the pressure, the patient directly breathes the oxygen in the chamber.
• Air pressurization chamber: Using air to pressurize and stabilize the pressure, according to the patient's condition, the patient is given oxygen through a mask and oxygen tent until artificial respiration.
